Having worked for many years as a psychotherapist at a number of UK universities, including University of the Arts, London and the University of Oxford, Kevin developed a practice in street photography around the time of the pandemic. Influenced and inspired by the American humanist street photographers of the 60s and 70s, especially by Joel Meyerowitz, he has wandered the streets of cities in the UK and elsewhere, in the post-Covid years. His work, informed by his previous life listening and connecting to human stories, aims to capture the strangeness, humour, and quiet beauty of the everyday. His collections, some of which appear in book form, include: ’90 days’ – two years between London and Rome; ‘Before, After’ – the lead up to and the hours following the funeral of Queen Elizabeth; ‘E2’ – adventures in the London postcode; ‘Trip’ travels in Thailand, India and Laos and ‘Pre-Match’ – photos taken prior to sporting events.
